The USC Symphony Orchestra celebrates the enduring legacy of Ludwig van Beethoven and the 200th anniversary of his death with a performance of his monumental Triple Concerto, featuring The Congaree Trio: violinist Ari Streisfeld, cellist Claire Bryant, and pianist Phillip Bush. One of Beethoven’s most innovative works, the concerto showcases a remarkable dialogue between three soloists and orchestra, combining virtuosity, lyricism and symphonic grandeur.
The program concludes with Carl Nielsen’s Symphony No. 4, “The Inextinguishable,” a powerful and life-affirming masterpiece that portrays the indomitable force of the human spirit through some of the most thrilling music of the twentieth century.
