Alchemy celebrates the beautifully blurred line between classical and popular music. Vocalist Rebecca Shrimpton and pianist/composer Herman Weiss perform American art songs by jazz and classical composers, including Charles Ives, Ornette Coleman, Florence Price, and Duke Ellington, as well as new original works. These uniquely American songs bend genre boundaries by uniting masterly compositional structures with traditional hymns, spirituals, early popular tunes, blues, and jazz. Admission Free
