For Sting’s 75th birthday, Berklee celebrates his enduring legacy as a singer and songwriter with a fresh take on two Police classics: “Message in a Bottle / Driven to Tears,” featuring lead vocalist Timothy Burns and an arrangement by Shan Shan Tu. From the Signature Series concert Singers Showcase: Synchronicity—The Music of Sting and the Police, this performance brings Sting’s music to life through the artistry and inventive arrangements of a global cast of Berklee students. A singer-songwriter, bassist, activist, actor, and philanthropist, Sting has explored new creative territory throughout his career. A recipient of an honorary doctorate from Berklee in 1994, his singular artistry has inspired musicians across generations.
