Guest Workshop: Ray Angry
Ray Angry is a highly sought-after pianist, producer, composer, and arranger with classical training and gospel roots. Known for his versatility, he blends jazz and global pop influences in his music. A prominent figure in the music industry, Ray has collaborated with top artists such as Jeff Beck, Wynton Marsalis, Sting, Lauryn Hill, and The Roots. He is also the CEO and founder of Mister Goldfinger Music Group, releasing solo and collaborative projects like Ray Angry One and Plumb.
Ray’s television and film work includes composing for Amy Schumer’s Life & Beth, Inside Amy Schumer, and The Descendant on Netflix. As a member of The Roots, he performs weekly on NBC’s The Tonight Show. His symphonic debut, Black Athena ~ Power, premiered with the Lexington Symphony, and he has new orchestral works scheduled for 2025.
