Student Recital
Jedidiah Yang, piano
Jedidiah Yang is a junior here at Carnegie Mellon University studying
Piano Performance and Human-Computer Interaction. Yang has been
recognized in numerous piano competitions, winning the Junior Steinway
Divisional Piano Competition and the Phyllis Triolo Competition twice. He
was also a runner-up in the West Chester National Pre-Collegiate
Competition, and a semi-finalist in the William Knabe International Piano
Competition, while also an award recipient of the Millersville International
Piano Competition, and the MTNA four times. Yang is a 2022 Alumni of
the Boston University Tanglewood Institute Young Artists Piano Program,
and has appeared in distinguished venues across the country, most
notably Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Outside of
piano, Yang is the co-director of The Originals A Cappella group here at
Carnegie Mellon, and loves to watch sports and films. Yang currently
studies piano performance under Sergey Schepkin.
