Uplifting, exciting, and deeply moving, this opening program celebrates the joy of shared voices and the timeless inspiration found in the world around us. The concert features contemporary composer, Jake Runestad's "Come to the Woods" from his American Triptych.

Chamber Singers serves as a training choir for professional choral singing profession, as singers prepare a diverse repertory of music at a high artistic level over a shortened rehearsal period. Their second concert of the season features doctoral student conductors Kelsey Snyder and Stephen Guillory.

    High Voltage returns this year with bold new energy and a spotlight on the Polyphonic Fender Rhodes, a one-of-a-kind instrument developed at LSU. Featured in three newly commissioned collaborations with Louisiana-based composers and improvisers Jonathan Freilich, Brian Haas, and Simon Moushabeck, this groundbreaking keyboard takes center stage in a program full of invention, artistry, and surprise. The evening also includes works by EMDM faculty and more to be revealed. Sponsored in part by a Community Partnership Grant from the Jazz and Heritage Foundation.
