She spent 25 years on the faculty at the University of Arizona. It was as a teacher, rather than as a singer, that Marguerite made her greatest impression. In her honor, the Tucson Musical Arts Club founded the Marguerite Ough Scholarship Fund to provide scholarships for graduate women studying voice at the University of Arizona.
