School of Music graduate fellowship ensembles offer a focused, collaborative chamber music experience. Fellowship ensembles combine individual musical virtuosity with the shared spirit of ensemble playing, building flexibility, teamwork, leadership, communication, and entrepreneurial skills for students. Additionally, students engage in a wide variety of professional development and community engagement initiatives, including outreach tours throughout the Mid-Atlantic, recording projects, and commissioning projects.

The Calidore String Quartet is recognized as one of the world’s foremost interpreters of a vast chamber music repertory, from the quartet cycles of Beethoven and Mendelssohn to works by celebrated contemporary composers such as György Kurtág, Jörg Widmann and Caroline Shaw. For more than a decade, the quartet has performed and held residencies at major venues and festivals around the world, released multiple critically acclaimed recordings and won numerous awards. The Chamber Music Collective is UD's premier chamber ensemble, which is comprised of graduate students in the Master of Chamber Music Degree. Join us as we present a diverse collection of mixed chamber works, featuring brand new compositions written specifically for the ensemble through a collaboration with the music composition program at UD.

The Collegium Musicum provides instrumentalists and vocalists the opportunity to study and perform music from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. The Collegium comprises a number of chamber ensembles formed around the interests and abilities of its members, providing the opportunity to learn new instruments and performance styles and to perform in formal and informal settings.
