Tubist Jarrod Briley will present a solo recital featuring works of all female composers. Musical selections by Alex Shapiro, Cait Nishimura, Andrea Clearfield, Germaine Tailleferre, and Barbara York will be performed, and the recital will feature the world premiere of "Motherland: The Matrescence Suite" by Donia Jarrar, a piece that Jarrod led a commission on in the fall of 2024. This is Jarrod's first DMA Recital in fulfillment of a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Tuba Performance.
