New Art Song Seminar: Flourish: A Debut of Kansan Art Song
Nov. 01
Enjoy a performance by graduate student composers, singers, and pianists from the KU School of Music as they premiere eight new songs in an intimate and uniquely Kansan concert of classical music.🌻🎼 Using the poetry of past Kansas poet laureates Kevin Rabas and Huascar Medina, students from Professor Forrest Pierce’s seminar New Art Song will present a salon-style concert on the Spencer Museum’s historic Bechstein piano owned by Franz Liszt. 🎹 Admission to this event and to the Spencer is free for everyone, always. Free parking is available in designated spaces on the first level of the Mississippi Street garage across from the Museum. Check in at our Welcome Desk with your license plate number for parking validation. 🚗 Daniel L. Dew “Chu-ban Jazz,” 2002 linocut, relief print Gift of BarenForum.org, 2002.0044.16
