The UofL Band program is built on community, collegiality, and leadership. Offering four large ensembles - the Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, and Community Band, the band program gives hundreds of musicians, from music majors to community members, a place to grow. Faculty here build genuine, long-term mentorships with every student and the program's flagship Wind Symphony has performed at major international conferences including Killarney, Ireland, and Prague, Czech Republic. As musical ambassadors for the city of Louisville and the state of Kentucky, UofL's ensembles — including the widely visible Cardinal Marching Band — represent Louisville on some of music's biggest stages. "You're going to get exactly what you put into it... you're going to come out completely changed by the experience here."
