The University of Michigan Campus Orchestras are made up of two main orchestras: Campus Symphony Orchestra (CSO) and Campus Philharmonia Orchestra (CPO). Both groups are comprised of non-music major students, faculty members, staff, and alumni of the University of Michigan. The Campus Orchestras are conducted by Graduate Student Conductors at the School of Music, Theatre and Dance. Some of the past Campus Orchestras conductors are now assistant conductors or music directors in professional orchestras around the country.
