The Event is free, though participants may purchase a Viola Bash t-shirt for $15 if ordered by Friday, September 12th at 5:00pm. The Bash will feature instruction in various techniques unique to violas for people of all ages, and we will hear performances by a few solo University violists, NEBratsche (the UNL viola ensemble), and all participants will perform in a mass viola ‘choir’. Professor Potter and his assistant Andrea Alvarado Troncoso will conduct masterclasses for a few participants who are interested and have a piece ready to perform, and one can’t forget the ever-popular ‘donut break’! An informal free concert will occur at 12:15 for families and friends to attend.
