THE WEDDING SINGER Book by Music by Lyrics by Chad Beguelin and Tim Herlihy Matthew Sklar Chad Beguelin Based upon the New Line Cinema film Written by Tim Herlihy Music and Lyrics by Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison Directed by Tom Alsip In a world of big hair, bright colors, and popped collars, The Wedding Singer takes us back to the wedding business of the 1980s. Based on the hit Adam Sandler movie, New Jersey’s favorite wedding singer and wannabe rockstar, Robbie Hart, is shot through the heart when his fiancée leaves him at the altar. He takes it upon himself to ruin every wedding he plays until a waitress, Julia, wins his affection. As luck would have it, Julia is engaged to a Wall Street shark, and unless Robbie can pull off the performance of a lifetime, he’ll lose the girl of his dreams forever. The Wedding Singer is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. www.mtishows.com.
