On September 22nd, 2001, the Notre Dame and Michigan State Marching Bands joined together on the field of Notre Dame Stadium for a combined performance of Amazing Grace. The bands ended the performance with members standing side by side, honoring the memories of those who had died the heroism of those who had risen to the call.
