Voices of Romanticism: A Guided Journey through the Lieder of Schubert, Hensel, and Mendelssohn Liederabend with Susan Youens, Guest Speaker Thu Feb 26, 2026, 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm LaBar Performance Hall (east side, door 10) Enjoy a "Liederabend" (Evening of Song) as SMND and Department of Music students perform Lieder (art songs) by Fanny Hensel, Felix Mendelssohn, and Franz Schubert. Songs will be interwoven with insightful commentary by Notre Dame Professor Emerita Susan Youens, one of the world's leading scholars of art song. This performance will be live-streamed. This event is free and open to the public.
