Join the University of South Carolina University Band on Sunday, February 22 at the Koger Center for the Arts for Riverfront Vistas, a musical journey inspired by the waterways and skylines that shape some of the world’s most iconic cities.
From the flowing currents of the Congaree to the historic harbors of Charleston, Savannah, and beyond, Riverfront Vistas explores the powerful connection between water, community, and culture. Just as rivers define the character of the cities they touch, each work on this program reflects a unique musical landscape shaped by motion, reflection, energy, and grandeur.
Featuring compelling compositions by Chambers, Danyew, David, Galante, Horne, Price, Sims, and Stuart, the concert weaves together vibrant rhythms, sweeping melodies, and cinematic textures that capture both the intimacy of river towns and the brilliance of urban skylines. The result is an immersive experience that celebrates place, perspective, and the shared spirit of cities built along the water’s edge.
