Hansel & Gretel by Engelbert Humperdinck (opera)
Special guests: The Utah Philharmonia under the direction of Dr. Robert Baldwin and dancers from the Marriott School of Dance under the direction of Professor Melissa Bobick
Engelbert Humperdinck's beloved children’s opera transforms the classic Grimm fairy tale into a magical musical journey of lost children, a cunning witch, and the triumph of courage over fear. Performed in English and featuring dancers from the University of Utah's School of Dance, a children's chorus from Lehi, Utah, the Utah Philharmonia, and singers from the University of Utah School of Music, Hansel & Gretel is a compelling and beautiful classic that is perfect for the whole family.
