Nov. 02
The trombone section of the United States Air Force Academy Band is comprised of versatile musicians with skillsets in all areas of classical, jazz, and commercial music. They have shared their expertise through live performances and masterclasses with several universities and music festivals, including the Eastman School of Music, Frühling Posaunen, SUNY Fredonia, University of Colorado at Boulder, Colorado State University at Fort Collins, University of Denver, and the Colorado Trombone Festival. As a part of the United States Air Force Academy Band, the members of the trombone section regularly perform across the nation with the Concert and Ceremonial bands, as well as the jazz ensemble The Falconaires and the brass quintet Stellar Brass. In addition to performing for military functions, they connect public audiences to their Air Force and represent the premier professionalism of the Air Force Academy. The trombone section personnel are MSgt Jaime Parker, MSgt Bryan Gannon, TSgt Joseph Hudson, TSgt Ethan Cypress, and TSgt Evan Silloway. They will be performing a recital with a masterclass immediately following to work with trombone students of the University of Wyoming.
