Mark Volpe is one of the nation's most esteemed arts administrators. From 1997 to 2021, he served as President and CEO of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, overseeing all activities of the BSO, Boston Pops, and Tanglewood, as well as managing the orchestra's real estate holdings. Since his retirement, Mr. Volpe has continued to shape the arts by advising orchestras and music festivals across the United States and Europe. He has also shared his expertise as a lecturer at Harvard, Yale, MIT, Boston University, the University of Rochester, Southern Methodist University, and the University of Miami.
