A recent nominee for the Oskar Morawetz Award for Excellence in Music Performance, Djokic has earned widespread recognition as a soloist, chamber musician and educator. She was a featured performer at the 2002 Grammy Awards shortly after the release of her self-titled debut album on Sony Classical. She has since continued to develop an award-winning discography. Djokic enjoys cross-disciplinary work, and is a member of Ensembl'arts, a Montréal-based group of artists dedicated to the production of multidisciplinary concerts, educational events, and virtual concerts. Other multidisciplinary collaborators have included Seattle's Spectrum Dance, Ballet Victoria, and the Atlantic Ballet Theatre. She is passionate about her role as an educator and was recently appointed instructor in cello at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Praised by Gramophone Magazine for her 'exceptional intonation and tangible empathy,' Canadian violinist Kerry DuWors has garnered acclaim as a soloist and chamber musician. Currently serving as associate professor at Brandon University, DuWors captivates audiences across Canada, the United States, Japan, Central Asia, South America, Europe, Mexico, and New Zealand. Her performances have been lauded for their 'commanding combination of strength, sweetness, and brightness' (WholeNote Magazine), establishing her as a standout figure in the classical music scene. DuWors has won prestigious awards, including Grand Prize at the 26th Eckhardt-Gramatté Competition, Felix Galimir Award for Chamber Music Excellence, Canada Council for the Arts Career Development Grants, and an Explore and Create Grant. She is a four-time laureate of the Canada Council for the Arts Musical Instrument Bank. Known for her verve and sensitivity, Japanese pianist Futaba Niekawa pushes the boundaries of her artistry as a soloist and collaborative pianist across genres and disciplines. She has performed throughout the United States, Canada, England, Spain, Taiwan, and Japan. To date, she has released five recordings (PARMA Recordings, Petrichor Records), and her live performances have been recorded for radio broadcast. In demand as a collaborative pianist, Niekawa has performed with Atar Arad, James Campbell, and Charles Castleman, as well as members of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, among others. She has been engaged as a collaborative pianist at the Banff Centre, New England Conservatory, Meadowmount School of Music, the IU Jacobs Summer String Academy, and the Perlman Music Program. Praised as 'a beautifully balanced duo' by Gramophone Magazine, Niekawa's long-term duo partnership with violinist Kerry DuWors, duo526, has led to numerous performances, recordings, and artist residencies at the Banff Centre and Avaloch Farm Music Institute.
