Join the Latin American Music Center in celebrating the sounds of our tango-centered special collections, led by Grammy-award winning producer and bassist Pablo Aslan. This latest installment in the Salón Latino Chamber Music Series features the chamber music of Argentine composer Ástor Piazzolla, including Milonga del ángel, Verano porteño, Invierno porteño, and Michelangelo 70, performed by invited guests Aslan, double bass, Winnie Cheung, bandoneón, Marcelo Rebuffi, violin, and Jacobs's own Aram Arakelyan, piano, and Jiji Kim, guitar. The concert will also feature a series of pieces featuring Aslan's unique fusion of traditional tango and jazz, featuring students from the Jazz Studies Department.
