The Denbo Center for Humanities & the Arts invites arts and humanities faculty to join director Amy Elias and associate director Katie Burnett at a (free) 2-day writing challenge this summer, on August 3 and 4! We will meet both days at the Denbo Center from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm to work on our writing together. The Denbo Center will provide coffee, tea, pastries and lunch each day for Challenge registrants. We do not offer individual workspaces. Faculty can write together in our KitchenCafe with background music, or in our quiet reading room, conference room, or seminar room. Registrants must supply their own laptops and any equipment they need for the writing sessions. No zoom meetings are allowed during the writing challenge hours. This challenge is for arts and humanities faculty only. Faculty of any rank or type of appointment are welcome. We can accommodate 15-20 people comfortably: registrants will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis. Registrants selected must commit to attending both days of the challenge. Register by July 29 here: tiny.utk.edu/AugWritingChallenge
